This is a male Painted Bunting who joined us for Happy Hour one evening at LaMaria. He hung around long enough for everyone to Ooooh and Aaaah and take a few pictures.

An unmistakable little creature, this was a trophy bird for Pat. She's been eager to see one for two years. She saw some females (mostly green) in San Blas but hadn't yet seen a male.
