We hiked "the flume" a walkway on top of the AEL&P power company's water funnel that runs alongside Gold Creek (seen here) from Basin Road and the Perseverance Trail down to Cope Park near the Governor's Mansion. From the Perseverance Trail you can see the remnants of the Last Chance Gold mine.
