Bird Island, Sinaloa
We found this huge density of breeding sea and shore birds on an island off a mangrove-lined bay near Las Glorias, Sinaloa, Mexico. (1/07)

It was amazing. Frigatebirds, herons, night-herons, egrets, black vultures, pelicans, cormorants, oystercatchers, stilts, all nesting in the same little bit of real estate.
