Rhinocerus Auklet
We saw a few of these birds (members of the Alcid family) off the shore of the Olympic Peninsula at Port Townsend, but never got near enough for a photo. We finally got this one at the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward. (8/07)

Alcids populations suffer from the introduction of predators (foxes, racoons, rats) to their breeding islands.
