Our first bear (we think this is a black bear) showed up on the side of the road as we approached the Takhanne River.  A quarter of the world's grizzly bears live in the Yukon. This bear was unfazed by the (minimal) traffic passing by. The animal seemed engrossed in a serious munch on the vegetation.
