After Homer we drove north along the Kenai peninsula to the town of Kenai, abutting Soldotna. Kenai is the 2nd oldest town in Alaska (after Sitka) with strong Russian roots.
We spent three days in Kenai, camped at Beluga Lookout Lodge and RV Park. Our site was on the edge of the bluff above the mouth of the Kenai River. We didn't see any Beluga Whales, the population in the Cook Inlet is declining.
