Newfoundland Jigg is a special supper consisting of the dishes listed below served all together on a plate and covered with gravy:

- chunks of boiled beef;
- big chunks of boiled vegetables (carrots, rutabaga turnip, potato, and cabbage);
- dumplings;
- pease pudding; and
- bread pudding (plain and spiced).
