After driving 125 miles (5½ hours with stops) along Rte 200 through lovely countryside, we arrived at Boca Beach Trailer Park, north of Melaque and Barra De Navidad. The campground was right on the beach, with lots of sandy campsites nestled under shady palm trees.

The place was full of Canadians (mostly Quebecois) dug in firmly for the winter.

The weather gave us daytime highs in the mid-80's and night-time lows in the mid-60's.
