We went for our first group birding trip to nearby Palm Canyon. The whole area round San Carlos was very birdy. Pat saw 7 new species during our stay here.

On a typical campground day Pat went birding, leaving the campground at 7am and returning anywhere between noon and 2pm. Bill usually stayed home and practiced guitar and otherwise had time to himself.
