We returned to Clemmie in Mazatlan and did some exploring and bird watching for a few more days. Wetlands nearby had a very high density of shore birds. Unfortunately, the wetland edges were being bulldozed and filled in to accomodate ever more turista condos and villas - right in the hurricane zone. [You'll see what happened later when we returned to Mazatlan on our way home.]

As everywhere, shore bird species are being squeezed out by human destruction of their habitat.
