Soon after we left Sitka, we (barely) caught a glimpse of some brown (i.e. grizzly) bears. We think these were a sow with 3 (or 4?) cubs, hanging out at the water's edge in Starrigvan Bay. Our fumbling photographer almost missed them, the only bears we saw on our trip up the Inside Passage.
