The Kwinitsa Railroad Museum sits in a small waterfront park beside a beautiful sculping of a mother grey whale and calf which was made in 1985 by a local artist for Prince Rupert's 75th anniversary.
The Kwinitsa Station was built in 1911 on the Grand Trunk Railroad between Prince Rupert and Terrace in mainland BC. The station was decommissioned in 1985 and moved here as a museum.
