Cow Bay is at the far end of downtown Prince Rupert, and nowadays serves as the harbour for the fishing fleet and pleasure boats. [The old waterfront burned down in 1972.] Cow Bay got its name when farmers began unloading cows from barges here. Behind the harbour (shown here) is a quaint little shopping area.
