The Canoona River drains from the Anchor Lake on Princess Royal Island and is a prime spawning ground for steelhead trout and some salmon species. Here's a view of the Canoona emptying into the channel as we passed by. This particular river is a prime area for bears, including the rarely-seen white-furred Kermode or Spirit bear. Kermode Bears are black bears with white fur.
