After Clemmie's pre-arranged appointment for oil change, etc., we left St. John's and decided to stop at Salmonier Nature Park. We hike its 2.5km board walk. Lovely walk, great place. A provincial park that's a sanctuary for abandoned or injured birds and mammals in a spacious natural setting.
We got good views of: 2 snowy owls, 2 bald eagles, a great horned owl, and 2 peregrine falcons all with broken wings, 3 injured caribou, a collection of broken-winged and/or one-legged Canada geese and an abandoned arctic fox pup.
