We stopped at Ferryland, where the first European settlers arrived in Newfoundland circa 1617. Initially gave it the name Avalon, after some Lord of that ilk.

There was a bunch of museum and historical stuff here, but all we did was hike towards the lighthouse. [And as previously mentioned, lost the pix.]
