Since we had to wait to get into our campground in St. John's, we decided to circumnavigate the Avalon peninsula. We stopped in Bay Bulls, and took a boat ride into the Witless Bay Marine Ecological Reserve.

Saw hundreds and hundreds of puffins, a colony of thousands of common murres (shown here) and some black-legged kitiwakes. Also two humpback whales.
