Rufous-backed Robin
Related to the American Robin, this thrush is endemic to Mexico but sometimes wanders into southwestern Arizona to hang out with American Robins.
Thrushes are best known for their beautiful and melodious voices. We photographed this specimen in the little village of Copala, Sinaloa, Mexico. (1/07)
[Our favorite sound is the song of the Varied Thrush, unmistakable. We've not yet been able to photograph one, and heard it more often than seen it.]
