In September of 2007, godwit E-7 flew non-stop from the Yukon delta in Alaska across the Pacific to her regular wintering grounds in New Zealand. Her 11,570 km flight took 8 days and 12 hours.

Shorebirds are long distance migrants - this was the longest recorded non-stop bird flight ever.
