Whimbrel or Long-billed Curlew on Estero Beach near Morro Bay, CA.

We thought this was most likely a Whimbrel because it didn't show bright cinnamon under the wings like a Long-billed Curlew. On the other hand it didn't have the strong head markings expected for a Whimbrel. One of the many times we weren't positive of our identification.
