Greater Roadrunner  in south Texas. (3/06)

This remarkable bird, related to the cuckoos, is mostly seen running (fast) on the ground. Later, we saw one sitting on a tree branch with its huge tail dangling down. They hunt small birds, reptiles, and mammals.
