On February 25th, we left Alpine, Texas, and drove 80 miles into Big Bend National Park. We passed through wide open Chihuahuan desert, with its cactus, creosote bushes, and mesquite. We turned left at Panther Junction and drove 20 more miles making a slow descent to the Rio Grande Village campground, seen here.
Big Bend is the larges and least visited of America's National Parks. We loved it.
